National eID & ePassport Conference – 8-9 October 2012, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Nerd will participate in the National eID & ePassport Conference which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 8th and 9th of October 2012.

Nerd will lead Workshop A – How to hide PKI complexity on smart devices. During the workshop, Nerd will present solutions on how to hide complexity of PKI for several sectors such as Banking, Government, Healthcare and Corporations.

National eID & ePassport Conference – the Global Forum on the drivers behind the digitalization of citizen ID documents – brings 4th edition to ASIA for the first time.

This 4th edition will highlight the practical experiences and recent developments in ASIA and EMEA, as well as promote new major technology initiatives both regionally, across the Globe and from the European Commission. Many countries in the region have yet to implement eID and ePassport. Delegations from all over Asia, Africa and EU will gather for two rewarding days full of discussions on electronic identification, EU-ASEAN interoperability, industry innovation, business processes and legal aspects.

Nerd Labs, the Research and Development Department of Nerd Group of Services,  proudly presented Mobile ID in an audience of PKI experts, a mobile platform that cover all PKI user’s needs.

From email communication to document signing and encryption, Mobile ID enables various PKI operations on mobile devices and utilizes open-source libraries to provide on-board secure storage and sensitive data processing. To securely store your private keys on the device, Nerd Labs has developed an innovative model called Server Protected Identification. This model consists of a special module which encrypts the user’s private keys on the mobile device and an authentication server which grants access to the private keys.
